Tata Nexon CNG Spied Testing
Tata Nexon CNG: Tata Motors is continuously launching its vehicles in different variants to further strengthen its hold in the Indian market. Some time back, Tata Motors has launched its new generation Tata Nexon facelift in Dark Edition, and now it has been seen testing with the CNG version.
The Tata Nexon electric version has also been launched in India, which has the highest sales compared to other electric vehicles. Tata Motors alone has a 70% stake in the electric segment. And Tata Motors is doing very well in the CNG market also. And to maintain such a situation, Tata is going to launch its popular compact SUV Nexon with more CNG version, which has been seen testing on Indian roads with full camouflage.
Tata Nexon CNG Engine Specifications
The Tata Nexon CNG was unveiled at the recently held 2024 India Mobility Expo, and now it has been spotted testing. Along with this, Tata Nexon is going to be India’s first SUV in CNG version which will be offered with turbo petrol engine.
Tata Nexon CNG will use a 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine which generates 120bhp and 170Nm of torque. Although this output is of its petrol version, this figure is going to be reduced in the CNG version. The CNG version generates much less power as compared to the petrol version.
Tata Nexon CNG will be offered with a five-speed manual transmission. However, like the recently launched Tiago and Tagore CNG, it may also get an AMT gearbox.

Nexon CNG Cabin and other Features
Till now, no information has been revealed by the company about which variant its CNG version will be based on. According to some media reports, it can be introduced based on the second top model.
Features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with a 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment system and Apple CarPlay connectivity with wireless Android Auto. Other highlights include automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless mobile charging, front ventilated seats with height adjustable driver seat, single pane electronic sunroof and an excellent music system.
Among the safety features, six air bags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill haul assist, EBD with ABS, 360 degree camera, blind spot monitoring system, ISOFIX child set anchor can be provided.
Tata Nexon CNG Expected Price in India
The price of the upcoming Tata Nexon CNG is expected to be Rs 1 lakh more than its manual variant in the Indian market. Currently the price of Tata Nexon ranges from Rs 8.15 lakh to Rs 15.80 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
It is expected to be launching in the Indian market by the end of 2024.
